Happy Easter and manuscript in with editor!!!

I haven’t written for a while because I have had bad RSI in my hands and wrist and I needed to rest my fingers. I pushed on to finish the manuscript of The Glasgow Smile and sent it to the editor and my agent a week  before Easter. This is my first time back on my laptop since then and it feels strange not to be writing about DI Gray.  I thought that once I had handed the novel over, that I would have a huge sense of relief, but instead I just wanted to know what they thought of it. These things cannot be rushed and it has been an agonizing wait, more so when my editor has informed me she had covid….so I wont be getting feedback for another couple of weeks.  its a strange feeling when most of your day is taken up with writing and then poof…..its over….Its not so easy to just fill in the gap.  I have decided to head off to Karamea and do a small road trip and spread my wings.  Its time.
